I know I'm late, but I think it's about time to post my American Idol season 4 concert review. I'll try and do it pictorial style.
The hype for me started Friday August 19. I went on a shopping spree with my mom at Valley fair for back to school shopping (and of course, I was hoping to maybe run into some of the idols since I've heard a lot of them like to shop on their days off in between concerts). No luck runnning into any of the idols, but then again, I spent pretty much all my time at GAP instead of walking around the mall exploring. Anyways, I got a TON of stuff at GAP! (3 pairs of low rise jeans, a green top, two spaghetti straps, and a really cool purse)...and with all the discounts and deals that GAP was having that day, we saved 100 dollers on our purchases, and I got two free itunes song downloads. (I used it to download two songs from the AI4 showstoppers cd). I heard from sources though that some of the idols were at Valley fair, but later on in the day than I was. Someone said they saw Nadia at the Apple Computer store and at the concert, Scott said he also did some shopping. I was really hoping to run into Anthony though.
Anyways, concert day.
That whole day, I was too excited that I could barely eat anything. All I could think about was the concert. Finally, 6 oclock rolled by, and we went to pick up my cousin and then my parents dropped us off at HP Pavillion. We went in, and we found our seats. They were REALLY close! Here's the view:

I was wearing green to support my favorite contestant, Anthony Fedorov! 
So we found our seats and sat down for a while. We saw Jessica come out right below us and we waved to her. Then, my cousin and I decided to go to the poster making station and make a poster for Anthony. We were really lucky to get the last blank poster. So my cousin and I worked on it together. She wrote "Anthony" in big huge green bubble letters (green is the tour fan color for Anthony). And then I wrote "Blow me a kiss Anthony!" and "Proud Member of Anthonyfanclub.com (run by friends of Anthony)". We finished and got back to our seats in time for Jessica. Then it was Anwar (sang "A House is Not a Home", "What a Wonderful World", and "Ribbon in the Sky")
Then Nikko (sang "Incomplete", "Part Time Lover", and "Like I Love You")
Then Scott (sang "Against All Odds", and "She's Gone")
Then Scott and Jessica sang a duet to "Total Eclipse of the Heart"
Then Nadia (sang Power of Love, You Don't Have to Say You Love Me, and Try a Little Tenderness)
After Nadia, it was intermission. My cousin and went to use the restroom and to buy some food. After intermission:
Anwar singing "Superstition"
Then Vonzell joined him on stage:
Then Vonzell sang solo (sang Karma, I Have Nothing, and Best of My Love
After Vonzell, it was then the moment I've been waiting for. My boy, Anthony "A-Fed" Fedorov!!!!
(sang Everytime You Go Away, Can You Stop the Rain, a song in spanish, and I've Got You)

*sigh* I'm so disappointed though that my pictures of Anthony turned out to be the worst. Oh well.
Then Anthony announced that Bo was sick and wasn't there to perform (had emergency surgery to fix an overlapping intestine. He's no longer on the tour), so they played Bo singing "Vehicle" from another concert on the jumbotron. Then all the guys came out and sang "Sweet Home Alabama" as a tribute to Bo.
So then after that, we have our winner, Carrie Underwood. (sang Independence Day, Alone, and Inside your Heaven)
Then halfway through Carrie singing "Inside your Heaven", the rest of the finalist came out and sang with her
Then Carrie sang "Bless This Broken Road". It was originally supposed to be a duet with Bo, but since Bo wasn't there, Carrie sang the song by herself.
Then the finalists came out and sang 2 group songs (Lean on Me and Rock the USA)
Then sadly the concert. Best day of my life gone so fast.  |
